Access to outdoor spaces, or just places to play sports is very limited in the areas our girls live. For many of them, the time they spend at Squash Dreamers is their only time in the week to move and play.
Fitness
Our fitness work focuses on building the girls’ strength and confidence, through a combination of cardio, strength training, and stretching.
When the weather is appropriate, the girls will run around the building, and practice sprints. Then they will go through a series of exercises that help to build muscle and stamina, from push ups and mountain climbers, to sit ups and burpees!
At the end of each month, we hold a fitness test, to track the girls’ progress. We’ve found this is a great motivator for the girls to keep up with their at home exercise, and they love to encourage each other!

Squash
Our squash sessions happen on Saturdays, with every girl attending for two hours of training with our coaches. The sessions involve focused drills on particular skills, squash themed games, and playing matches. The girls are grouped according to age and general ability.
We also host a yearly squash tournament at the Jordan National Squash Centre where all of our girls play competitive level matches and cheer for their peers.
