April 2026 - Noora receives Summer@Taft scholarship
We are thrilled that Noora will be one of the first students from Squash Dreamers to attend Summer@Taft in July 2026! Noora has been a part of the Squash Dreamers family for four years, and in that time has grown into a confident, funny, and bold young person. She watched her peers secure scholarships overseas, and has been inspired. Noora’s perseverance and drive has paid off this past year in her studies, and particularly in her English. We are so happy she will be able to travel to the US this summer and put all her hard work into practice.

September 2025 - Fatima receives Davis Scholarship for Westminster School
Fatima made history as the first Syrian student to be accepted as a Davis Scholar at Westminster School in Connecticut, US. The Davis Scholarship not only covers all costs for her education, but also provides her with $100,000 for university. Fatima’s determination and courage has made her a role model for all of the Squash Dreamers family, girls and staff alike. She began at Westminster in September, and is already thriving. She’s joined the squash team, is learning Spanish, and the Syrian flag is proudly hanging in the Westminster chapel.

July 2025 - Amal attends NMH Summer on scholarship
 After the incredible experience of a UK scholarship, and lots of hard work, Amal was accepted to the prestigious NMH Summer Program in Massachusetts, US, with a generous scholarship. She participated in their English Language Immersion course which helped her further develop her English speaking and writing skills, alongside playing basketball, and taking part in public speaking and arts activities. She also got to visit local cities like Boston and New York, experiencing galleries, museums, and new food.

May 2025 - Five girls receive scholarships for SBC's summer programme in the UK
In the third year of our partnership with Summer Boarding Courses, five brilliant girls were offered full scholarships to study Intensive English programmes at Canford School in the UK over the summer. Ma’ab, Saba, Farah, Leen and Asawer were chosen for their effort and attainment in English. Unfortunately due to challenges obtaining travel documents, the girls were unable to visit the UK, however SBC has generously offered them spots on their 2026 course.

June 2024 - Six girls receive scholarships for SBC's summer programme in the UK
Six of our wonderful girls were offered full scholarships to study at UK based summer programmes. Amal and Fatima studied pre-university level psychology at Cambridge college alongside Maiar and Heba who studied pre-university medicine. Shahed and Rahaf studied English at Earlscliffe. Sabah was also offered a place to study design, but due to visa issues was unable to attend.

April 2026 - Dimah receives NMH Summer scholarship
After a successful partnership in 2025, we are delighted that NMH Summer has once again offered a generous scholarship to Dimah to attend their programme in July! Dimah is an Iraqi refugee living in Jordan, and does not have access to formal education. Instead, she receives support from Squash Dreamers, and the amazing Amala here in Amman. The level she has reached in English is due primarily to her own independent study. Her determination and drive are a credit to her and her community, and we are so happy that her hard work has been rewarded.

September 2025 - Maiar receives scholarship for Harvard Student Agency Pre Med Academy
Our amazing Maiar was awarded a scholarship to complete the Harvard Student Agency Pre Med Academy. The course is a Harvard quality accessible education opportunity for young people to learn about how to prepare for a future career in medicine. Maiar’s dream is to be a surgeon, so this was a life changing opportunity for her to gain insight into the medical field.

June 2025 - Lina joins Jordanian National Squash Team Academy
Lina was invited to join the Jordan National Squash Team Academy. Not only will she get to train with some of the best squash players and coaches in the country, but it also opens doors for her to compete on bigger stages, grow her confidence and skills, and represent girls from underserved communities who dream of reaching the top.

April 2025 - Fatima takes part in SEA European Tour: London
As part of our partnership with SEA, Fatima, one of our high achieving students in both squash and English, was selected as the only international partner programme student to join the SEA European Tour: London. She travelled to the UK to join a group of US students visiting cultural landmarks, participating in cultural exchange, and playing high level squash at squash clubs in London.

June 2023 - Three girls receive scholarships for SBC's summer programme in the UK
Aseel, Fatima, Amal and Heba were the first ever of our girls to be awarded international scholarships to summer courses in the UK for English having applied through Summer Boarding Courses. Despite multiple setbacks in travel documentation, three of the girls thrived at their courses and continue to inspire their peers.
